Updated on Feb 16, 2024

The Royal Government of Thailand has launched the Visa on Arrival program to enhance tourism, and the citizens of 21 countries have the possibility of getting one. San Marino is one of them, so if you are a San Marino National, you can get your Thailand visa from one of the 48 immigration checkpoints that release such a document. What is even better is that if you plan to land at Suvarnabhumi airport, you can apply online using the services provided by iVisa.

What is required of you?

iVisa will take care of basically everything. Your only job is to provide the proper documentation and information so that they can handle the bureaucracy. Here is what you must have to apply:

  • Valid passport – getting a passport is easy for most people, and if you already own one, take a look at the expiry date. The passport needs to keep its status as valid for at least another 30 days from your date of arrival to Thailand.

  • Return flight ticket – the Thailand visa on arrival allows you to stay only 15 days inside the country, so you need to submit a confirmed return flight ticket that proves your return within those 15 days.

  • Proof of accommodation – you need to have a hotel reservation or a signed letter from a host that states you have where to live during your trip to Thailand.

  • Valid e-mail address – once you apply on iVisa, they will send you an application form that you need to fill in before your trip. You will receive the document above via e-mail, which is why you need to make sure that the address you provide is valid. Check the spelling as well.

  • Means of payment – by applying online, you must pay iVisa for its services. You can make the payment using a credit or a debit card. If you have a Paypal account, you can use that as well.

The purpose of your visit is also something you may be required to reveal. That is just something that immigration officers do to make sure that you will not stay in Thailand for more than 15 days.

The application form

If you choose iVisa as your Thai visa service, you will enjoy one of the easiest application processed on the market. There are only two simple steps you need to complete, which should not take you more than 10 minutes. Also, iVisa puts at your disposal an excellent support service that can be contacted day or night.

First of all, you need to fill in your basic information, as well as choose the processing time that best suits your needs and budget. As for the latter, iVisa gives you three options:

  1. Standard processing – travelers who apply online select this option most often because it is the cheapest. You will be charged $20, and your application takes 1 business day to be processed.

  2. Rush processing – this option shortens the waiting time to only 2 hours. The cost, though, is a bit higher. This option costs $50.

  3. Super Rush processing – this is the fastest option you can find. It costs $70, but your application is processed in as little as 15 minutes.

Second of all, you must make the payment and carefully revise the information you provided. The last part is crucial. Keep in mind that once you land at Suvarnabhumi airport, you must pay for the visa itself. It costs 2000 THB, and you can only pay in Thai currency.

As you can see, getting a Thailand visa for San Marino Nationals is reasonably simple. iVisa dedicates its resources to make your experience as pleasant as possible.

Note: you can apply online using iVisa only if you travel to Thailand by air and you land at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok.
