Please note that the Indian business visa is not an employment visa but is for conducting business activities during your stay in India. This is also not a tourist visa.

This type of document is for multiple entries and is valid for one year after issuance. Therefore, you can use it to stay in India for up to 180 days in Total.

This visa is not extendable. If you wish to extend your stay in the country, you will have to contact the authorized immigration authorities to process the documents.

On the other hand, five seaports admit this type of document: Mumbai, Cochin, Mormugao, Chennai, and New Mangalore.

However, travelers can exit through any immigration checkpoint.

What information do I need to apply for this travel document?

To apply for the India e Business visa, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Valid passport - A passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and contain at least one blank page for stamps. All international travel document holders must have at least six months validity.

COVID-19 Requirements and Restrictions in India

Vaccination certificates are not mandatory but recommended, as they will help you avoid some COVID-19 requirements when entering the country.

Travelers will be considered fully vaccinated if 15 days have passed since their last dose.

All arriving travelers will be required to present a negative PCR test result 72 hours before travel. 2% of arrivals will be subject to random testing at the airport.

Children under five years of age and travelers with proof of recognized vaccination are exempt from testing.

Finally, no traveler must undergo quarantine in India.
