This recent update from the Brazilian government marks the third time the eVisa requirement for citizens of Canada, Australia and USA has been postponed. Originally scheduled to go into effect on October 1, 2023, the starting date was first moved to January 10, 2024, and then to April 10, 2024.

Canadians traveling to Brazil before this new date can enter without a visa, even if their trip extends beyond April 10, 2025.

The upcoming Brazil eVisa will be available to Canadians to trave lfor tourism, business, or transit purposes. It will be valid for five years, allow multiple entries into the country, and enable stays of up to 90 days.
