Do US Citizens Need a Visa for Azerbaijan?

Yes, Citizens of the United States traveling to Azerbaijan will require an E-VISA. All citizens must complete the requested documents, undergo the application process and pay the USD $105.99 fee for standard processing.

What is needed for an Azerbaijan visa?

For an Azerbaijan visa, you will need a valid passport, a digital scan of the passport, a valid email address, and a valid payment method. Here are the full details:

  • Valid passport – if you do not have a passport, make sure that you cross it off the list before applying. If you do have one, make sure that it is valid and will continue to be as such for at least another three months after your visa expires. Otherwise, the eVisa will not be granted, and you have to go through the entire process once more.

  • Digital scan of your passport – it is not enough to have a passport, but you need to scan it and upload it when you complete the application process. How else would iVisa know that you meet this criterion?

  • Credit/debit card – before submitting your application, you need to make the payment for the visa and the services provided by iVisa. You can use a credit or a debit card.

  • Valid e-mail address – iVisa will send you the document via e-mail, which is why it is crucial that you insert a correct e-mail address. Otherwise, you will not receive the Azerbaijan eVisa.

The Application Process

The application process is broken down into three steps:

  1. The first consists of your basic information. You need to insert your name, address, passport info, date of birth, and so on. You must also select the processing time. Remember that your selection determines the total price of your visa.

  2. The second step will ask you to revise what you inserted, and you must also make the payment at this point. Just follow the steps on your screen.

  3. Last but not least, the third step will ask you to upload the scan of your passport, but you are also required to answer a set of personal questions. It should not take long, and the whole thing will not last more than 20 minutes.

If you need help with anything, iVisa has an excellent customer support service that is at your disposal 24/7. They will explain everything that you do not understand and help you every step of the way.

Processing Time and Fees

The cost of the Azerbaijan visa for US citizens depends on one thing: the processing time. iVisa puts at your disposal three excellent options, and you can choose whichever you find suitable. They are as follows:

  • Standard processing time – your application will be processed within 10 days, and you have to pay only USD $105.99.

  • Rush processing time – this option cuts in half the waiting period, which means that you will receive your visa within 8 days. The price, however, it is a little higher. You will be charged USD $173.99.

  • Super Rush processing time – if you are in a hurry, you can go for this option and get your eVisa in as little as 7 days (one business day). The price for this one is USD $254.99.

The Azerbaijan eVisa you receive in your inbox will allow you to stay in Azerbaijan for up to 30 days in Total and provides a Single Entry. Keep in mind, however, that if your stay exceeds 10 days, you must also register your trip with the State Migration Service once you arrive in the country.
