Our website is custom-built to provide all the information you need. However, we strongly recommend you to visit this page to check what fees you should pay before traveling.

Frequently Asked Questions // FAQs

What is an Argentinian AVE?

The Argentina Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA or AVE, which is Spanish for Autorización de Viaje Electrónica) is a document that allows certain citizens to enter this country. It's an authorization more than a visa itself.

Is there any special condition for this ETA?

You only require some documents to get this visa, but more than that, there's nothing special about it. Keep in mind that if you're a citizen from the EU or USA you should also hold either a US B2 visa or a category C visa from any country in Europe that belongs to the Schengen travel area.

What is an Argentina Reciprocity Fee?

The Argentina Reciprocity Fee is just a fancy way of saying Visa. It can be confusing for those who are used to getting a visa in order to travel. The process is the same, it’s simply called a different name.

With that being said, it is pricey. Unlike an electronic visa to, let’s say Turkey, costing about USD30, tourists wanting to vacation in Argentina will need to pay more if coming in from the US. Prices vary depending on where you submit your payment.

However, remember that this type of fee is no longer required, so you won't need a visa to travel to this country, and according to your nationality, you could only need an eTA.

What documents are required to apply for an Argentinian ETA?

You'll only need the following:

  • A valid passport ID.
  • A valid e-mail address.
  • Credit or debit card account, or PayPal.

Don't forget to get the USA visa or Schengen Visa in case you're from the United States or any country from the Schengen Area.

What is the price of the Argentinian ETA?

The cost of the ETA itself is USD $200.00. Nevertheless, you should know that it can be tricky and difficult to apply for this visa by yourself, especially if you have to take a trip to an Embassy. That's why iVisa offers you three options for you so you can select any of them according to how quickly you want your visa.

If you decide to use iVisa's service, you'll have to pay for any of these options, but don't worry, the fees are not that expensive. These are your options:

  • Standard Processing: This is the cheapest option. If you're not in a hurry, this is great for you. It will take 35 days to be checked and the fee for this processing time is USD $275.99 (including visa cost).
  • Rush: With your Rush processing, you'll obtain your ETA in 30 days which is less than the previos option, but you'll have to pay USD $325.99.
  • Super Rush: This is the last option you can select, and obviously is made in case you need your ETA quickly. It costs USD $395.99, but you'll get your visa in only 25 days.

Keep in mind that these prices include the visa cost, and it's made to citizens from certain countries like China and India. In case you still have questions, then you can check this page or simply contact our customer center here.

How can I apply for this Argentinian ETA?

You can apply for the ETA following these steps:

  1. Firstly, just fill in your general information. You also have to choose the processing time of your preference.

  2. Secondly, Review with detail step one and proceed with the payment.

  3. Lastly, just complete any other documentation upload required. This part will always depend on personal circumstances, like nationalities.

If you're ready to start, then click here. After you finish your form, then you only have to wait for your visa to arrive. Remember that if you need assistance, iVisa has a fantastic support service available 24/7.
